If that is really all you are doing with a laptop, then you might want to
consider a Chromebook. It does browsing just fine. And if you enable the
Linux Development Environment, you get a virtualized full Debian 11. That
enabling process takes about four mouse clicks and then about 10 minutes.

You can get fancy and pricey with a Chromebook, but they also can be gotten for
under a $100.
