Jeffrey, Nope. That's what I'm trying to do.
It looks like the desktop is configured to use keys for authentication, but you don't have any trusted keys on the laptop. So you can't connect.
I just used ssh-keygen to produce a new pair of ED25519 keys and a passphrase.
If you have another key that is already autorised you can specify the key with: -i identiy_file
This is a new installation on the laptop. Thanks, Rich
