Not so. I commented out #PubkeyAuthentication yes on both salmo and caddis; rebooted both.
From salmo:
$ ssh caddis ssh: connect to host caddis port nnnnn: Connection refused
From caddis:
$ ssh salmo rshepard@salmo: Permission denied (public key) I'm totally stymied. Rich
