Well yes ... there are a few genuinely rational needs for vbox on linux - legacy VM which cannot be rebuilt (winXP, Win7, .... old no longer available linux distros, etc.), familiarity, decent GUI, vagrant (though that is Hashicorp, no longer open source corp.). Are you using Boxes? I found it pretty limited compared to KVM/quemu/libvirt + virtManager even vBox. What is your experience? What would make it attractive, especially for someone like Jon who does not use Gnome, I think? -T >
