I got fed-up with GoDaddy's pro-porno social agenda a few years ago, and moved all my registrations to Rebel.com (http://www.rebel.com/). They are reliable and the one time I had a billing question it was able to get someone on the phone to ask. They haven't been too aggressive at pushing their other services either.
