That error message is sort of generic. I show it when squeezelite-win.exe aborts immediately after starting up. The software is making an assumption that it must be due to a parameter error. I have spent some time actually trying to get the precise error condition (which switch) from squeezelite-win.exe, but so far I have not succeeded. What should work is creating a pipe when I create the squeezelite-win.exe process and capture its output. So I have tried this, but I am only getting all the output except the error message. Once I figure this out, SLX should be able to give a clue as to what it thinks is wrong. In the meantime, you could use Default in SLX and set your preferred/default output device at the O/S level.
