I´m running jivelite on the Raspberry PI with the above mentioned 5"screen. It boots from an image on a sd-card and apparently puts everything into a temporary folder.
Understood. But you certainly do the development on a desktop. Use Jivelite there to test things. Once it's working on your computer, you can copy it over to the Pi.
