I think I never responded to this mail... I don't understand the reasoning why it's not possible to render that menu as a popup. Squeezeplay does it. How would you decide to show it as a popup or not? Haven't looked into my code in detail about this. But I usually don't apply any secret sauce to make things behave differently. The protocol hasn't changed in years.
