Choosing Marlett as the font in Wordpad and typing numbers correctly
shows the window maximise/restore glyphs so this is indeed odd.

No, the buttons seem not to be there at all - no graphical change on
mouse over and nothing happens on mouse click. The accessibility insight
tool was an attempt to inspect if there were any buttons there or not.

I have possibly just partially worked it out: I have a high DPI screen
and the scale in the Display settings is set to 150% which is the
reccomended setting. I also have two additional monitors which are set
to 125% scaling (and are in portrait mode). These settings haven't been
changed in a long time, but changing them now and restarting
Squeezelite-X has made the buttons appear again. Might having different
scale factors and/or orientations on different monitors affect the
calculation of the position of the buttons, especially perhaps if the
window first appears on a different monitor each startup and a value is
somehow cached?

(This dissapearing button problem has not been observed on any other
applications yet, nor was it an issue in Squeezelite-X before the recent
Windows version update and Squeezelite-X update which both happened
around the same time.)

Having made the buttons return the glyph is still showing as a number.
