I agree, but many thanks for the support regardless. 👍 Looking at my logs in Volumio I also see a lot of "volume" requests being handled. There's a -ActiveRemoteThread:1042 [0x3d2ce8]: remote command getproperty?properties=dmcp.volume- every few seconds...
