@lauret, I think that the Qobuz plugin transforms the incoming signal to 16Bit/44,1kHz if the player doesn't support support Hi-Res music.
@basslover, one standard configuration is a RaspberryPi with an HAT from Hifiberry and the piCorePlayer as software.
