Yeah I wonder that too. I really want the docker image to be a solution
for when my Synology updates, but not sure I will risk taking down my
current installation to try it out. Might have to wait until I have to.

When you say that you are able to have them installed in parallel it
makes me think that my crashes are not related to ports anyway. I would
assume the problem with "claimed" ports will be an issue when you
install the containers, which is not where I have the problem. It's a
launch that it crashes, and surely a claimed port by another package
that is not currently running can not cause that to happen (an
assumption though).
