I've been using an older Spotty for years but this weekend I built a new TrueNAS 12 box (to replace my older FreeNAS 9.x / LMS 8.0 / Spotty 2.0) and setup a FreeBSD Jail with LMS 8.1.2, Spotty 4.4.8 and the Spotty Helper for FreeBSD 11 (I'm running FreeBSD 12.2 but it worked) and everything "just worked" (TM). I mean it literally just worked with no faffing about :) I have a whole stack of Squeezeboxes (V3), Squeezebox radios (for the children), a boom, a touch, a bunch of Raspberry PIs acting as Squeezeboxes and a few PCs running Squeezelite-X so that's a fair investment over the years and I'm so grateful that you and a larger community are still working on this in their own time. (it would cost me a fortune to move to an alternative system such as Sonos) So thanks very much.
