BTW, I have noticed some degree of consistency. If I go back and play a track that has skipped, it will quite often skip again, apparently inthe same place.
In Settings/Advanced/Networking you can define some streaming modes for http streams (see the last option). Please try those again with a problematic track and see whether that helps.
