My Mixed Tag settings are as you suggested above.
Tags/Artists shows only album artists. Tags/Album Artists shows only album
artists. It's as if "ARTIST" doesn't return any hits.
I changed Album Artist tags to ALBUMARTIST only, and rescanned Mixed Tags. In
custom browse, I no longer see Tags/Artists, and Tags/Album Artists has the
same content as before.
I just tried to download latest custom browse menus (for item 2 below), and
noticed the following warning got returned onto the page:
Custom Tags Albums(customtagsalbums.xml) : Id doesnt match name, must
be downloaded manually
>> 2. What order are "Custom Browse / New Artists / <artist>" albums

That's great. I find the slimserver New Albums menu slightly anoying in that
simple changes to source files causes older albums to be seen as new albums.
It would be nice to have both "New Albums/New Artists" and "Changed
Albums/Changed Artists" menus. I am thinking of reconfiguring my custom browse
menus such that I have a structure like:
Artists/
Artists
All Artists
Album Artists
New Artists
Original Artists (covers)
Albums/
Albums
Compilations
New Albums
Would it be possible to add Changed Artists/Changed Albums to these menus? eg.
the old slimserver "New Artists" behaviour (that lists both new and changed
artists) would be good enough, but I don't think there is an equivalent menu
for Changed Albums currently.
I'm also wondering whether the trackstat and dynamic playlist Artists and
Albums sub-menus could be moved into this structure too?

I just downloaded latest menus without deleting anything and it's now working.

>Are you saying that you would like it to point somewhere else or are

No, it was just an observation that it was the same. I was wondering if browse
by song should be displaying anything extra. Eg. when browse by artist, you
get a list of album: links and years menu, etc. I guess there is nothing below
a song in heirarchy, and the artist/album/genre/year can be navigated via song
info, so there's not a lot to be expected of a browse by song mixer. Perhaps a
"show similar named songs" option (someone requested recently)?
I see that the browse by song mixer can be removed in the custom scan settings,
so if there is nothing different to navigating into the song information page,
then I may as well disable that mixer.
