I finally managed to install firmware 2.0 for my iPod Touch yesterday and I tried out iPeng 0.5.
The now playing screen improvements and the drag n drop playlist reordering are brilliant! It looks like native has probably got the vote and would agree with that. Steps 1) and 2) are high on my wishlist and it seems that they will be fulfilled, so after that I don't think I could ask any more of the web app. Having played around with the last.fm and iTunes remote apps, it would be nice to have some of that (may be perceived) responsiveness and the sexiness of the menus etc. And if the server could be sorted out to do streaming that would be heaven because I'm loving the last.fm streaming app :) Once 1) and 2) are completed what will become of the web version? I can see maintaining 2 sides would be a pain for you and the plugin developers. This might be a silly question, but how confident are you that you will be able to distribute it? Do you have any fears that Apple may not allow it? Would it be worth submitting a very early version to check it gets through and hopefully to generate some revenue for you (I don't know if you will give it away free and take donations or sell it - I would be happy to pay for it, given the amount of work and the fact that the web one may still be floating around if you want a "free" version). I seem to say this a lot, but thanks for all your work, Rob -- robroe ------------------------------------------------------------------------ robroe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14248 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49821 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
