Excellent - installed first time without some of the steps you mentioned. (Ubuntu 8.10)
You have the basis of a great plug-in. I think you should ask Gordon (ghariss999) whether he wants this discussion to continue under ServerPowerControl (he may not have the time or inclination to add this functionality to his Plug-in and it is slightly off-topic) or whether it should now be elevated to a separate forum header as you may get more participation there. If you proceed may I make suggest a Plug-in name of ServerSysInfo in the style of Gordon's Plug-in to suggest the added value of installing both.
