That helps a lot. The Amazon security requires the SHA-256 which is part of the CPAN library Digest::SHA. Standard SC just has SHA1 which is used with plugins.
It looks like the special version of SC have cut down CPAN libraries which do not include the necessary Digest::SHA library.
