If I assume right, and you are using your iTunes instance with your ipod to sync ratings, you may be able to use the iTunesupdate plugin to sync up the ratings. Unfortunately iTunesupdate does not work with SB 7.4 as of now. Hopefully James will fix the issue some time soon.
