Erland, Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I probably know enough sql/xml to have a go at this, just lacking in confidence fuelled by an ardent desire not to mess up a functioning system. I will have a go once I get my head around it.
Thanks also for your excellent plugins, they make it much easier to organise classical music on the squeezebox platform.
