Hi I have just finished building a fanless PC with an asychronous USB connection to a W4Sound DAC2 to play 24/96 and higher resolution *.flac files. The only problem I did not anticipate is that SqueezeSlave does not support high res replay unlike my Transporter. Gotcha!!
Please add my vote to implementing this. A PC with external USB DAC is really the way to go for high resolution audio and there are an increasing number of albums available on the internet. I would be happy to donate some $$ as I cannot help in any coding.
