In this case "only" 1400x1388, 188 kB. I have far bigger cover art that
works fine with LMS (I think the biggest one is 7200x7200, over 1 MB).
And the cover art for that album was no problem when it was embedded
and picked up by LMS, it is just that the removal of the embedded cover
art made LMS show no cover art at all although the same cover art was
still present as a folder.jpg.

The cover art for that file was not shown by iPeng, just a black image
was shown.

LMS 7.7.2 latest nightly.

As far as I can recall the cover art with black bars were not that
huge, usually singles cover art which seldom are available in huge
dimensions. Thumbnails are fine and do not get black bars (although I
wish they could be displayed a bit "sharper" in the cover wall).

PS. I just tried Show cover art in iPeng for the really huge 7200x7200
cover art and that made iPeng crash before the cover art was shown.
Another cover art of "only" 1412x1389 showed just fine in iPeng. The
show cover art option sometimes shows a large display covering almost
the entire file/album/cover wall area and sometimes only a fraction of
that area (although the cover art is large enough to cover the whole
iPad screen).
