Oh, there is one thing I need to set straight: Stupid me....
For more than half a year I have been running around, telling everybody that syncing is broken with iPeng on ARM6 devices. Turns out that's not the case and in fact it's working perfectly fine, at least with iPeng 2.0.10 (didn't try older versions again). The reason it didn't work for me was rooted solely in my test setup...
