> It's not about browser timeouts, but about how long the frontend application (what you see in the browser) waits for a response from the backend on the server (the plugin running on the LMS) when requesting > data (in this case, about albums). > Currently, the timeout should be set to 30 seconds. Can you please check if it really takes longer than that on your setup by: > - opening the Music Library/Albums tab for the first time (this will load the first 1000 albums of your collection) - how long does that take? > - quickly dragging the slider to the bottom (this will load the last 1000 albums of your collection) - how long does that take?
> As a comparison, each of these operations take ~2 secs for me (server runs on a Celeron G530 @ 1,6GHz) > Actually, if anyone else reading this thread could provide some numbers to compare, that would be interesting as well. I'm running LMS on a ASUS C60M1-I which has an AMD Fusion APU C-60 (1.0GHz, dual core) I tried the above and the first test was completed in 7 seconds. The second test showed the albums, less cover art in 18 seconds - but produced the following error message. Error in server call (Operation: read) URL /plugins/LMSnewGUI/js.html?_dc=1362769391069&args=%7B%22cmd%22%3A%22getAllAlbums%22%2C%22player%22%3A%2200%3A25%3A31%3A00%3Ac3%3A5c%22%7D&page=3&start=1000&limit=500 Parameters: {"args":"{\"cmd\":\"getAllAlbums\",\"player\":\"00:25:31:00:c3:5c\"}","page":3,"start":1000,"limit":500} Error message: timeout Additionally, while I had no problem installing the plugin, I never get a playlist. I see the current song playing - but not the playlist. i.e. the main window is always blank (which makes me think something else is timing out) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ kitdavis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41172 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98186 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
