For what it's worth, on my Debian Linux system, you unzip the Plugin.zip
file to get the Plugin.pm, and then put it in:

/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/SuperDateTime/lib/Plugins/SuperDateTime

ideally backing up the previous Plugin.pm file first.
