hmm.. I removed pulseaudio and kept only alsa. I reinstalled LMS (stable cause the "testing" one gave me missmatching sums errors), and it still didn't work. I tried it with the gnome-alsamixer installed and then tried it with the qasmixer installed. Neither worked... Any ideas? I am convinced that it's something super simple and silly because I'm on a very standard ubuntu LTS version and everything should be "as expected". I must have fracked something up in the installation I guess..?
