Jim Simmons, who is responsible for the BBCÂ’s online radio streams, has been open about what will be implemented. He said in his blog that the BBC have chosen the AAC codec and http streaming (includes HLS, HDS and eventually DASH). Presumably everything else will be phased out, and the date for end of support for Windows Media is December 31st.
