I find the BBC's secrecy strange and futile. It isn't hard to record a
live, or listen again stream, on a PC (even for me) so why the paranoia
about get_iplayer or the BBCiPlayer plugin? Surely they should just
make very clear what the rules are, and let people get on with it. My
understanding is that taking a copy is permissible for sole personal
use, possibly only for a limited time period. The LMS plugin doesn't
lend itself to easier copying than a PC service does, and in fact is a
little harder to copy (requiring a non-hardware device to play and hence
record the audio).

Or am I missing something?

LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit,
44.1->192kbps. LMS & Squeeze2upnp to MF M1 CLiC (to MF amp & ESLs) &
Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Minimserver (server) & upplay (control
point) to same renderers & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to
Meridian USB Explorer DAC to speakers/phones. Wireless Xubuntu 14.04
laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with
Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.   Have a Touch
with EDO, and a spare, but don't use.
