Hi All I'm not sure if this adds any more light to the stopping problem I'm seeing, but i've done some more testing this morning, installed the HLS plugin and ffmpeg, and I've found that if I play the streams directly (non-uk version), then they play fine with no stopping. For example
http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio/simulcast/hls/nonuk/sbr_low/ak/bbc_radio_fourfm.m3u8 plays fine.
