admin = root so of course the file will transfer. After you have put the new file onto the Qnap change the owner & group to match the other files in the folder - something like squeezeboxserver.swueezebixserver I can't remember exactly. You do this by right clicking the file and selecting properties. You can only do this after you have it the file onto the QNAP. Check the owner and group of an existing file.
