In relation to formbypc post - the thread has got mixed up with other threads. In reply to a query by formbypc (Ronnie aka "Man in a Van") pointed user to a pinkfish thread about using the testversion of the BBCiPlayer. Formbypc had problems and becasue they didn't know about the testversion own thread and so has posted back on this thread. formbypc should post issue about testversion on its http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?104672-BBCiPlayer-with-DASH-support-test-version I don't understand the comment about not knowning about a version of BBCiPlayer beyond 1.3 since you suggested another user to use use the test version of BBCiPlayer plugin in this post http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103435-BBCiPlayer-Plugins-an-alternative-quick-fix-guide&p=838175&viewfull=1#post838175 I haven't taken over the BBCiPlayer because that can't be done without Triode's consent. In anticipation of BBC supporting DASH (and dropping support for HLS/HDS) I have implemented a variation (aka fork) of the BBCiPlayer which includes DASH and to avoid version clashing started at version 1.4 This version is still in test as 1. Support for DASH in BBC is still in beta (i.e. URLs are only supplied to vendors or browser using iPlayer HTML5 beta) and subject to change (which they still do ) and hence break at no notice. Also BBC probably may have contracted capacity with CDNs for small takeup of DASH during beta. 2. Plugin has problem with some Windows systems. 3. Plugin has problems with CastBridge in some configurations.
