Wrong thread, I know, but it occurs to me to note that when you are streaming spotify LMS is not (usually - depending on settings) involved during streaming, it can go straight from network to player. So if your connection from LMS to the rest of your network is flaky that may only affect local playback. Checking all the connections might be a good idea since you have changed the router, depending on how your devices are connected to each other.
On the Touch advanced settings there may be a Network Test you might be able to use to check out the local connection to LMS. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 16.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to A308CR amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Alternatively Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones. Wireless Xubuntu 16.04 laptop firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
