I got the same thing, started about a week ago. Although it's 25 seconds for me! At same time I started getting popup message saying something like "Do you want to upgrade LMS?". Doesn't matter if I click Yes or No, nothing happens, nothing gets installed. Also same setup, v2.3.8 of the plugin on LMS version 7.9.0 on OSX
