While I somewhat was thinking the same thing, I think
that there are cases where a recipe might be really
popular but still appropriate as a recipe, not in the
core.  On the other hand, recipes that are building
blocks might not be quite as popular but could be very
useful for other recipe authors.  But, as you
mentioned, Patrick is fairly good about adding the
latter when he finds them useful.  I was just trying
to help find ones which he may have missed.
