If the government gets out of the mortgage business, that occured
because of no regulation on business, then the economy collapses,
which it will anyway. So which is it? Regulation or sub-prime loans
and enron.

Of course you overlook on essential reality, and that is government is
run by business, or at the very lest they are in a reciprocal
relationship to advance their own interests. One thing is certain they
don't care how mush they screw the workers, thats not even on the
agenda.
