Excuse me. Russians and Americans have been spying on each other since before WWII. There was no new revelation as to that which in the 21st century, means spying via computers and the web. That is why all the rules exist for cell phones and communications etc. and there are laws to punish/jail hackers. And while this spying has gone on all these decades, NEVER have we expelled foreign diplomats or made a big deal out of it. It has always been an accepted given. Obama and our intelligence agents acting as though something significant had happened is what was new and actually bizarre.
Now please clarify in your mind. Two things occurred during the election. One was hacking into the DNC computers and then hacking into John Podesta's gmail account on google. The other was the leaking of DNC files and John Podesta's emails. Leaking means that copies of files were made and then released to the public. Hacking and leaking are two separate activities. Hacking is the unauthorized entry into a system. It is equivalent to spying. Leaking is equivalent to theft. Now. There is no proof that Russia hacked the DNC or got into Podesta's gmail. As far as Podesta, who ever copied his files got in by sending him an email requesting him give them his password, which he did. On the DNC, all they have to suggest Russia hacked in was that the IP address was pinged off a server in Russia and some of the coding was in Russian. Anyone who knows about hacking will tell you that IP address is meaningless as to identifying anyone. The fact coding was done in Russian tells you the Russians did NOT do it and rather, the hacker purposely deflected attention to the Russians so to take it off of himself. That is how hackers work. They cover their own tracks, they throw in false clues. There really is NO EVIDENCE the Russians hacked, much less leaked anything. Now we do have TWO people who were involved in the leaking who bear witness that the source was a DNC insider, no Russian involvement at all. There is nothing unusual about Flynn or Manafort having conversations with Russian diplomats before, during, or especially after the election which is when Flynn's conversation of issue occurred. Release the transcripts? Excuse me. Flynn was a private citizen at the time. His phone conversations are his private business. Diplomats have the same rights to privacy as any one else. If a crime had been committed, you could make a case. Obviously one was not. Otherwise, this whole thing is outrageous.
