The damage is too widespread for one individual to stem the ripple effect of this recession and Americans have gotten use to instant gratification. So far, Obama seems deft at avoiding the splash of scandals around him. Maybe he will need to order wings. In fact, his message of HOPE may turn to false hope for so many that he may wind up like Carter or worse. We just have to wait and see. In the meantime, I am tuning into Rush- my new autocrat at the luncheon table for solace- despite Colin Powell's silly advice not to listen to him. We should not have listened to Powell's lies at the UN.
