Mike,

The difference is this;

In FL, at no time was Bush not ahead of Gore. Despite various
recounts, Bush was always in the lead. FL law gave 7 days for the
recounts, and the Democrats took it all the way to the USSC in an
effort to change FL laws on the fly to provide more time for recounts
in three predominantly Democratic counties. They couldn’t change the
law and lost the election. The National Opinion Research Center at the
University of Chicago, sponsored by a consortium of major U.S. news
organizations, conducted a Florida Ballot Project comprehensive review
of all ballots uncounted (by machine) in the Florida 2000 presidential
election, both undervotes and overvotes, with the main research aim
being to report how different ballot layouts correlate with voter
mistakes. The results of the study showed that had the limited county
by county recounts requested by the Gore team been completed, Bush
would still have been the winner of the election.

In MN, Coleman led after the initial vote recount. Since then there
have been numerous irregularities noted in how the recounts have been
handled (more votes than voters; including previously rejected
absentee ballots mostly from predominantly Democratic areas while
continuing to reject those from Republican areas; inconsistent recount
methods – using ballot counts one time, voting machine counts another,
and in each case the decision meant more votes for Franken; etc.).
Once they found enough votes for Franken to win, the commission
certified the election even though Coleman was disputing the results.

The other difference is;

In FL, Bush won the vote on election night and he won every other
recount ever done, including the results of the NORC study, but you
claim the election was stolen.
- Whereas -
In MN, Coleman won the vote on election night, Franken – after
numerous recounts and many claims of irregularities – comes out on top
and you claim it’s a legitimate election.

Ah yes, there is no doubting your partisanship.
