It is Time for a Truth Commission Sean Lewis May 17. 2009
Frankly I really do not care what Pelosi knew or when she knew it. Pelosi was the minority Senator sworn to secrecy and her only avenue of protest was to the Majority Senator or the White House. Base on Cheney's current 'we did not torture' tour, I can not imagine Cheney paying any attention to protests, and the Republican Majority set the agenda's in committees, and they protected the Bush Administration. So it comes down to this,... Was there a crime committed. Did we torture. If the answer is yes, then let the truth commissions begin! If you are confused about if we tortured, I suggest you consider the dead bodies of Prisoners held for questioning and the fact that a doctor NEEDED to be present during questioning. Do people really miss this blunt admission that damage was being inflicted! For the Torture Apologists who are trying to muddy the water, my response is this, you can't have it both ways. Either Pelosi knew and the Bush Administration is guilty of torture, or The Bush Administration did not torture and Pelosi did nothing wrong. The only way to know the truth is by having a truth commission. Feel free to cut and paste this response to all and any post from a Torture Apologist. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Thanks for being part of "PoliticalForum" at Google Groups.
