I like owning a gun. I don't think people should be able to take Uzi's
to baseball games or nightclubs. I could say that you have been
"brainwashed" by right wing extremists who seem to deny the fact that
the Constitution has evolved over time but unlike those on the extreme
right, I don't have to insult or demean everyone who disagrees with
me. So I'll just assume that like me, you formed your opinion based on
personal insights and experiences.
Me? I've been stabbed once and shot twice by gang-bangers in high
school. So what is the solution? Arm all the kids in high school? How
about my friend who was shot in a bar? Arm all the drunks?
When the Constitution was written, there was no such thing as a police
force in America. We'd just fended off the British. Guns were needed
for food every bit as much for protection. "Wild savages" were killing
settlers all over the place.
Now, for every crime stopped with a gun, over 10,000 are committed
with one.
So while I respect your opinion, I simply disagree with it. This has
nothing to do with liberal left-wing brainwashing or whatever other
crap you care to hurl in my direction. It is just my opinion.
