Richard, First, FDR was POTUS for 12 years which just happened to include the Great Depression AND WWII. i would think that is a rather significant difference. Second, no idea what that has to do with what I posted. For 6 of his 8 years George Bush had a compliant, Republican dominated Congress & Senate. Yes, I read on another thread what you wrote about the Swiss health Care system and I believe I commented that it sounded like a sensible and good system.
