Dear Readers: The New Constitution of the United States of America which I have written over the past decade or so has retained most of the excellent parts of the original Constitution, while eliminating, or improving the clarity of wording on those had-been-controversial parts. My only ‘ideology’ has been to pen a document which is beneficial to the great majority of Americans, not just… the left or the right.
I, unlike the Founding Fathers, have the tremendous benefit of hindsight. In short, I knew what things didn’t work and what things did under the original Constitution. A primary effect of my constitution is to make government(s) be subordinate to the People. Whenever possible, I remove the requirement that a citizen must “get a lawyer” or “petition a court” to have their civil rights upheld. I greatly strengthen civil rights and empower any law-abiding citizen to face down government, and yes, even law enforcement and the courts. The Supreme Court is made a “lesser” branch of government which will never again be allowed to ’make laws’ by judicial interpretation. Strict limits are placed on how law enforcement can deal with the general public. And the penalty for those who are employed by government who don’t abide by the Constitution is loss of their job(s) and/or imprisonment. *** Government will become the rightful servant of the People, never again the task-master of the People! My constitution is: Democracy on-demand. As long as government can manage things to the satisfaction of the People, no direct citizen involvement will be required. But as soon as the People become unhappy with any “decision(s)” of government, control reverts to the People and the controversial issues get resolved in one-day direct votes of the People—just like “democracy” implies. Never again will our national debt be allowed to go-through-the-roof, because I have taken away from government the power to raise (increase) taxes without first having a direct vote of the People! There will be no more Federal taxes on individuals nor businesses. Instead, the Federal Government will tax the States in proportion to their populations. And there will be a percentage ceiling of the GNP as to the total amount of taxes that can be raised without a constitutional amendment. In short, government will have been put on a budget! My constitution isn’t the work of ‘committees’. Mainly, it has evolved to address the issues that have made news. For example, several years ago a FL woman who was in a marginal coma had her life support turned off at the urging of her… husband. Her parents did not want that life support equipment to be turned off. So, the husband petitioned the FL government and courts to do his bidding… A line of the police was at that hospital to prevent the pro-lifers from interfering with the husband’s wishes. Interviews of most of those police showed that they, too, were pro-life. Yet, they were doing the bidding of… government AGAINST their own conscience. So, I made the following simple changes to my constitution: “ … With impunity, a government officer(s) or employee(s) shall enforce no law nor perform any order or directive which violates their personal moral conscience or their oath.” and “… No governmental nor judicial body shall be deferred to, even if asked to decide, regarding moral issues that are eminently within the domain of a family.” The above is just one example among hundreds of inclusions that I have made to my constitution that will RIGHT the over-power of government in our lives. These issues aren’t open to be changed. Gradually, I am giving excerpts from my constitution. I would love to hear comments from readers! But my time is limited to reply, because of my having so many irons-in-the-fire. However, it would be hugely beneficial to you readers, and to the whole country if you would start talking-up that a SC man has written a New Constitution of the United States of America that will (finally!) put government in-its-place, for the benefit of us all! — John A.
