WILL THE USA SINK OR SWIM ON HAVING GLENN BECK SHAME CONGRESS?

Sara Palin’s new autobiography is headed for its first million copies
sold. A serial author who is more notorious—Glenn Beck—is now rated
right up there with Palin as a person of national media interest.
Beck is one of President Barack Obama’s main detractors who regularly
points out every folly and foible of the nuts supposedly ‘representing
us’ in Washington.

This week Beck delivered a most damming put-down of Congress—
essentially telling Congress: “Shame on you!” The declining support
in the polls for Obama Care, or for having Congress increase spending
in any way, has managed to escape Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, et al.
Like the computer “HAL” in the movie ‘2001, A Space Odyssey’,
Congress, quite literally, needs to be unplugged.

We now have no semblance of a government like the Founding Fathers
wanted. Those men had disdained the kings and oppressive governments
as were known in Europe. They wanted to be sure that government in
America would always heed the wishes of the voters. Unfortunately,
our government, aided by a national media that would have been
inconceivable in pioneer times, is now composed largely of incumbent,
elitist, career politicians whose main objective is to keep getting re
elected. They do that by playing to the public, via the media, so as
to imply how ‘powerful’ they are—compared to those without seniority.
We are presently “represented” by egotistical career politicians who
consider themselves to be our elected dictators. Most of you should
know: Dictators never represent, they LORD over the people. Is such a
government acceptable in our supposed (but laughable) Representative
Republic? Hell no!

Lately, Glenn Beck has been quoting Thomas Jefferson. Like Jefferson,
I am an architect and an inventor. I too see mortal danger to
America, and to ideals of democracy, when the have-nots can use their
greater numbers to take from the haves. Such political machinations
have been fostered largely by Democrats bent on garnering the largest
voting block possible: the lazy and the impotent. Barack Obama, who
is still living in his deluded… ‘campaign mode’, has as his personal
political objective the redistribution of wealth from the hard working
and the successful, to the dead-beats who want a free ride. Making
the USA into a socialist nation constitutes far more TREASONABLE
actions by Barack Obama than if he planted a dirty bomb in New York
City, and then sat on it. Obama is a traitor!

Glenn Beck—in his only-shoots-rubber-bullets-way—supposes how great it
would be if there could be a constitutional amendment banning unfair
discrimination against the… haves. That man’s memory and reasoning
power regularly come up lacking. When was the last time 75% of the
state legislatures in this country could get majority votes on any
proposed amendment? The difficulty imposed by our Founding Fathers of
correcting the problems in their… best-effort Constitution is one of
the five most grievous shortcomings in that document. While Beck
keeps knocking out book after book, I can practically guarantee you
that he has never read, let alone transcribed word-for-word—like I
have done—our present very weak Constitution. Beyond the Preamble,
the Bill of Rights, and several of the major amendments like the 14th,
there is very little in the Constitution worthy of being considered to
be a model for what our Government… COULD be. That’s the reason that
I have spent fourteen years of my life writing a New Constitution of
the United States of America!

A question on the minds of many is: What are Sarah Palin’s plans for
the 2012 Presidential campaign? If she runs, and she does so more or
less party neutral, how can she have a positive effect as President if
Congress is ruled by unconstitutional, pseudo-political, and corrupt
political parties? And how can she have a positive effect if “the
national media” is already doing everything in its power to belittle
her? Katie Couric, in her supposed interview of Palin during the 2008
campaign, badgered Palin regarding her sources of information on
national and international news. No media figure has a ‘right’ to
tout their personal political preferences by using their high paid
celebrity to belittle those they oppose, politically. David Letterman
does that… ‘humorously’. Under my New Constitution, both Couric and
Letterman shall be muffled by CBS, or CBS shall not be granted a
broadcast nor business license in the future.

Sarah Palin smiled while commenting that the media needs moderating.
1/3rd of the problems faced by the USA have been caused by, or are
stagnated by, the media. When Palin herself said—as I had so often
written: “Government isn’t the solution; government is the PROBLEM!”,
she was giving her tacit approval to CORRECTING government, rather
than have all of us live under its present oppression. It is probably
easier for Palin to concur with the dire necessity of reigning in the
media, than it is for her to acknowledge that adapting a New
Constitution is THE most logical route to correct our errant
government.

My New Constitution has literally hundreds of checks and controls, not
just on government, but on corrupt business practices. Each of those
points would make interesting discussions. But People—hopefully
including Sarah Palin—who are considering the desirability of
ratifying a New Constitution as the way to correct our problems,
should consider these major provisions:

1. Limiting those who represent us in the House to people who have
never held public office before, nor (except for time spent in the
military) ever worked full-time for the government.

2. Banning the US Senate from existence, because such body has always
been the height of anti fairness and anti democracy. (The cost of
government will go down, and its efficiency will go up!

3. Outlawing political parties! Never again will this country be
split… down-the-aisle.

4 Criminalizing lobbying by professionals, or amateurs, who represent
a particular faction or group. Any person who systematically contacts
representatives to influence their votes, other than their own home
district representative, shall be guilty of a felony.

5. Banning having the media, and its many parts, from commenting on
or assessing anything regarding pending elections or referenda. News
can be “covered”, i.e., played back as real time audio or video
recordings, but no person employed my any medium; invited onto shows
by a medium; nor any celebrity shown via the media shall assess or
comment on elections or referenda issues— at risk of committing a
felony.

6. Banning the media from having access to the US Capital. And
banning representatives from talking to any medium whose viewing
audience or readers is outside of that representative’s home district
or state.

7. Removing the authority of the House to raise taxes above set, pre-
defined limits, without a national vote of the People. And having
public votes on any issue of great controversy.

8. Increasing the ‘provisional’ vote for passage of a bill to 55%.
And requiring that all bills passing by less than 60% be re voted
every four years.

9. Stripping all formerly abused powers from the Judiciary, which
shall become a LESSER branch of government.

10. Spelling out dozens of offenses by government officials and
employees which shall get them fired, or imprisoned. And such firings
can be instigated by any law abiding citizen observing the infraction
(s).

11. Requiring that all government officials and employees take a
loyalty oath to serve the PEOPLE (rather than some perceived ’boss’ in
government).

12. Completely revamping the ‘cultures’ and processes in law
enforcement which have, effectively, let the USA become a police
state. No more can law enforcement have immunity from prosecution
because such is acting as an arm of government. Any person working
for government, including public officials, can be sued in civil
court, or charged in criminal court just like those outside of
government.

13. Stripping the requirement that jury verdicts be unanimous both
for guilt or for innocence. The latter… ‘for innocence’ neutralized
the Founding Father’s fervent hope that no person go to prison, nor be
put-to-death, for a crime or offense which they didn’t commit. My New
Constitution will come close to guaranteeing that no innocent person
will ever go to jail!

14. Requiring that companies based in the USA that do business in
other countries, shall not damage the public health nor the natural
environment either here nor abroad. (For example: No more selling of
cigarettes to other countries as though the eventual killing of those
people is somehow an acceptable business practice.)

Americans, the above 14 items should give you a pretty good idea how
Government can be made to be more responsive to the People.
Government will become subordinate to the Will of the People and those
therein shall be required to honor this statement: “Fair play and
democracy shall have supremacy in America.” Anyone who is employed by
government who can be shown not to agree with, and to support, that
one sentence, quoted above, shall be guilty of TREASON. Barack Obama
and Justice Sonia Sotomayor are two examples among many. If the USA
is to survive, corrupt government shall be squelched!

Glenn Beck would do this country a favor if he would chalk on his
board just these five questions:

(1.) Is government responsive to the Will of the People?
(2.) Is government honest and trustworthy?
(3.) Does government consider who must pay the costs?
(4.) Should lobbyists have more influence on government than… the
People?
(5.) Can the needed changes be made by voting-in better congressmen?

When most Americans can answer each of those questions with a NO, then
the resolve will have been reached to ratify my New Constitution of
the United States of America. Please tell your friends, relatives and
associates that a South Carolina man has penned and polished a New
Constitution to finally put the People at the top of the pecking-order
in this country! — John A. Armistead —
