Kat was sobbing was by this point.  She stared at Julia in disbelief.  This
feeling was soon replaced by anger and hatred and dispair.  Her eyes settled
on Derek's unconcious form.  "Derek..."  she said her voice shaking.  She
tried to move to where he was, but it wasn't possible.  She fought against
the field holding her until she was exhausted, finally giving up she drew
her knees to her chest and buried her face in her arms.  She wished with all
her might that her mother would stay away and go someplace safe.
