"Ooops." she tried unsuccessfully to look innocent. Derek looked at Alex "Don't even think about it. I'll take that right here, thank you... icing side up." He held out his hand, trying not to laugh at Nick's 'misfortune'.. "When have you ever known me to do such a thing," Alex replied handing it him. She sat back down just as Kat retrieved her own cupcake. "Aren't you going to eat one," she asked Alex. "Maybe tomorrow," Alex told her, "you know that rule about no dessert if you don't eat dinner." She smiled at the girl. She just wasn't up to eating. It had happened before whenever things got to be just a little too much. Though she was sure she'd be back to normal in the morning.
