Kat sighed, Why didn't moms ever want their kids to have any fun anyway?
"Okay," she said holding the phone out to Julia a perplexed frown still on
her face. "My mom wants to talk to you." She peered at Nick wondering if
he would let her have a cupcake. Her mom said not to get one from Julia,
she didn't say anything about Nick, however she did say wait until after
lunch, but....well maybe she could pretend she hadn't heard that part.
Julia looked up and went over to the phone, looking at Kat with a quizzical
look before greeting Rachel again and listening.
Then she grinned and covered the mouth piece so as not to be unintentionally
yell in Rachel's ear and tease Kat "She said 'Don't even think about it,
kiddo'."
Then she uncovered it and commented wryly "She's working on getting her
hands on those cupcakes, isn't she?"
