Julia left Alyssa with Nick and Kat and headed toward the Control Room.
When she entered she looked at the ones still there and pointed a thumb over
her shoulder "Derek Alyssa's awake. She's watching television with Kat and
Nick but I'm not sure how long that's going to last."
She got the impression the girl liked bookes more than television, although
talking with Kat may keep her distracted for some time.
Then she looked at Alex "Got a minute?" no time like the present and right
now, considering she had to go down and speak with the Soulchaser, now was
as good time as any to get the two talking and more on an even keel.
Derek looked at the two women and nodded, heading out. He'd sit with Nick
and girls until they all grew bored and then go from there.
"Yeah," Alex said standing up and heading towards her friend. She had
severalt hings to talk to her about. She felt guilty for over reacting to
the soulchaser thing, but on the other hand she felt justified in her
feelings, she just should have expressed them differently.
Alyssa and Kat talked animatedly until the Rugrats came on. Then they were
both absorbed by the program, not even noticing Derek's arrival. However,
Kat got into Catdog after that and Alyssa had no interest in that at all.
She turned her eyes away fromt he set lookning around the room and spotted
Derek, she smiled slightl at him.
