Alex's nose wrinkled at the mention of Jimmy's trial. He was not on her list of people she believed deserved salvation. After all her had traded his own brother to get out of Hell, what kind of person did that make him? Desparate yet, but she wasn't so easily forgiving of such things. "I hate to say it, but it might not be the only thing we agree about. However, I'm certain the list is quite short," she added. Julia gave her friend a curious and even uneasy look. This was the second time she'd judged someone and it wasn't like Alex to just stamp someone with a judgement call. Yes, she knew about Jimmy. Nick had filled her in on what had happened, and she had already had a couple of private words with Jimmy that boiled down to 'you hurt him or get him hurt you're going to be begging to deal with the Soulchaser and hell again' but she also knew that, although near the end, Jimmy had gone back on the deal with the soulchaser. Julia hadn't had time to have the same kind of talk with the guardian of souls but it went without saying for both of them that if he did anything toward Nick she'd be in his face and then some. But for now, with what had to happen, they had to focus on the trial. "Come on." She told both of them, just as Jimmy came in and gave her a curious look. Nick heard Julia's whistle and stood "I'll be right back, kiddo. Don't go on any treks while I'm gone." Then he headed down to the kitchen. "What's up?" he asked, looking at each of them curiously. "We're going to get this thing straightened out with Jimmy." Julia answered as she opened the back door and he moved to stand beside her. "'k-good." he accepted that, even though he had a slight frown, realizing one of them had to stay behind to take care of Kat. Julia kissed him and looked him in the eyes "I'll bring him back, Nick. This is just the... preliminary so to speak. Proving that there is evidence that would justify a judgement." "Jules.." Nick started, jaw clenching as the others moved out the door. Damnit, he wanted to be there for Jimmy but knew this whole thing had to have Julia just to work in the first place. "Find Derek and ask him to watch Kat. He's in the garden and it's on the other side of the island than we'll be on. Tell him what's happening and then catch up." she murmured. He kissed her and smiled, calling to the others "I'll see you in a minute." And then left to go get Kat. Julia left with the others as he practically sprinted up the stairs and playfully tossed Kat over his shoulder, explaining he needed her to do him a favor by hanging out with Derek for a little bit. "And I promise we'll tell you all about it when we get back." he added, tickling her to make her laugh as he went to go find Derek in the garden. Thankfully, Kiddo at least wore her house shoes..... unlike Julia who loved to go barefoot at any given moment. He was already heading toward the clearing as the others were just reaching it. *** Julia looked at Alex and put her arm around her shoulder "I vote we go play a serious game of pool at our favorite pub after all of this."
