Derek watched as the two girls played, smiling encouragement even as he was
wondering what was happening with the others with the way Nick had dropped
Kat off so hurriedly.
Julia motioned for the Soulchaser, Alex and Jimmy to stand back as she
stepped forward and knelt at the circle, murmuring something, and then
standing back up.
The Circle flared and then dimmed to a light glow "It's ready."
Then she stepped in, motioning for Alex to come next, then Jimmy, then the
Soulchaser. She saw Nick approaching and motioned for him to enter as well.
And like that.... they weren't there anymore.
The scene changed suddenly and they were in what looked like a dimly lit
court room.
Alex followed Julia into the circle and watched with amazement as they were
all transported to another....dimension? "Where are we," she whispered to
Julia looking around with great curiosity. She was now glad that she wasn't
going to miss this one. Though, she ould have felt better if Derek were
there. Still someone had to stay with the kids.
Kat:
The girls were in a spirited game of tag when Kat dodged through the hedge
at the far end of the garden and headed for the beach. Alyssa followed her
catching up, when Kat stopped at the edge of the sand. "What are we doing,"
she asked the older girl curiously.
Kat:
"Looking for...I don't know....I just had a funny feeling that something
neat was going on down here...but it doesn't look like it."
