cordially at first. His english accent then adopted a spitefull sneer as he
continued. "This wasn't allways the case, though. About a year and a half ago, the
defendant's breathing, bleeding, thinking, and feeling body was but a cold, lifeless,
pale, rotting corpse while his soul was undergoing unimaginable tortures in hell."
As he spoke, Moncrif leaned on the witness stand, with his face comming close enough
to Nick's that the legacy member could smell the prosecutor's rancid breath.
"What was he like before that, Mr Boyle?" Moncrieff asked with a reptilian grin.
